Wei Zhou, MD

Dr. Zhou is currently Professor and Chief of Vascular Surgery at University of Arizona. She was a faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine, then a Professor of Surgery at Stanford University and chief of Vascular Surgery at Palo Alto VA before she transitioned to University of Arizona in 2017.
She is a surgeon scientist with an interest in carotid disease. Her research has been funded by NIH, AHA, VA, and various industries. She has been involved over180 peer-reviewed publications, 30 book chapters. She is a member of the SVS Carotid Guideline Writing Group. Dr. Zhou has chaired SVS Clinical Research Committee and is currently the chair of SVS International Relationship Committee. She is also the past President of Western Vascular Society and the President of International Congress of Angiology.
