Kristine Orion, MD, FACS

Dr. Orion is a professor of clinical surgery in the Division of Vascular Diseases and Surgery at the Ohio State Unviersity. She also serves as the Director of the Aortic Center and Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Outreach Network. Prior to her arrival to OSU in 2019, she was on staff at Yale University and the West Haven VA. She is principal investigator for four aortic trials and has several first in country/world achievements. Dr. Orion is board certified in both general and vascular surgery. She has authored over 45 publications and written 15 book chapters. She has been invited to lecture nationally and internationally on her aortic work. Dr. Orion was awarded the Clinical Mastery Excellence Award by the graduating chief residents in 2020 as well as the inaugural teaching award ofr the Division of Vascular Diseases and Surgery in 2024.. Her clinical practice includes a wide breath of vascular surgery with a special interest and extensive experience in open thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm repair as well as complex lower extremity revascularization.
