Dr. Dean Arnaoutakis is the Section Chief of Vascular Surgery at Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health in Tampa, Florida. He provides comprehensive care for a wide range of vascular conditions, with expertise in complex aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections, carotid artery disease, and peripheral arterial disease. He holds a physician-sponsored investigational device exemption from the FDA to repair complex aortic aneurysms using physician-modified fenestrated/branched endografts.
His clinical research interests focus on outcomes related to endovascular aortic surgery, specifically looking to develop models that aid in patient and device selection as well as studying the efficacy of physician-modified endografts.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed his general surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at Harvard University/Brigham and Women’s Hospital, followed by advanced training in endovascular aortic surgery in Lille, France.
